TASUED Post-UTME 2019: Cut-off Mark, Date, Eligibility and Registration Details

TASUED Post-UTME/DE Form, cut-off mark, eligibility, screening date, application fee and deadline for 2019/2020 academic session has been announced. Cut-off mark is 180. Screening Date is  4th July, 2019. Deadline for registration is July 3rd 2019. See eligibility and full details below;
This is to inform the general public that the POST-UTME screening exercise of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) for the 2019/2020 session will take place as indicated below:
The sale of the online Screening Form/Registration commences from Monday, 17th June, 2019 and closes on Wednesday, 3rd July, 2019.
Note: Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) does not have any outside agent to help with the 2019/2020 admission exercise. The use of such agent is at candidate’s own risk and candidates should desist from using third party in processing their applications.  
1. ELIGIBILITY
i. UTME Candidates who chose TASUED as first/second choice institution or seeking a change of institution to TASUED through JAMB, having scored a minimum of 180 in the 2019 UTME.
ii. Direct Entry candidates with A level/OND/HND/NCE/JUPEB qualification who chose TASUED as first/second choice institution or seeking a change of institution to TASUED through JAMB and have obtained 2019 Direct Entry JAMB form.
2. APPLICATION PROCEDURE
i. Candidates should apply online through the TASUED Admission portal on https://my.tasued.edu.ng/admission
NB: The www.tasued.edu.ng is the ONLY legitimate and authentic website of TASUED through which the Admission portal can be accessed.
ii. Each candidate is required to make the payment of N2000 for the screening exercise payable online with either Master card or VISA ATM card.
(Please print out your receipt after payment)
iii. Candidates are required to fill and complete the online Application Form by providing all the required information. It is MANDATORY for all applicants to use the University Online Result Verification System (ORVS) to submit and verify their O-level result.
(Please download and read the University Degree Brochure and carefully study the O-Level requirements for the courses applied for, before filling the online Application Form)
iv. Print the Screening Slip containing your colour passport photograph and screening information. The printed slip will serve as candidates identification/admission card for the screening exercise.
Note that wrong/false information provided by any candidate shall render the application invalid and such candidates shall be disqualified.
3. SCREENING DATES
Screening exercise shall be conducted for all UTME candidates at the Main Campus of the University on Thursday, 4th July, 2019..
The screening date for Direct Entry (200 Level) applicants shall be announced at a later date.
Candidates participating in the screening exercise is a mandatory requirement for entry into Tai Solarin University of Education.
4. SCREENING DETAILS
Candidates should prepare for the screening exercise and bring along the following:
(i) Colour print-out of the online Application Form
(ii) Original JAMB Examination Notification of Result slip or Direct Entry Registration Slip.
(iii) Screening Slip and Receipt.
5. WARNING:
(i) Cell phones (GSM, CDMA, etc.) and other electronic devices are not allowed at the venue of the screening exercise
(ii) Candidates are to arrive at the screening venue an hour before the commencement of the exercise.
The results of the screening exercise should be checked on the Admission portal after the screening exercise.
6. CLOSING DATE
The sale of the online Screening Form/Registration closes on 3rd July, 2019.

UNICAL Post-UTME 2019: Cut-off Mark, Date, Eligibility and Registration Details


UNICAL Post-UTME Form, cut-off mark, screening date and eligibility for the 2019/2020 academic session has been announced. UNICAL cut-off mark is 160. Screening date is July 29th, 2019. Application cost is N2000. Deadline for the registration is July 17th, 2019. See the full details below;
Eligibility
We make this announcement for the benefit of all Direct Entry and UME candidates who scored 160 and above in the Joint Admissions & Matriculation Examination and who have chosen University of Calabar as their First Choice in their application for admission into the University for the 2019/2020 academic session.
Screening Date
The First Choice aptitude test exercise has been scheduled to take place from 29th July 2019.
Direct Entry candidates will only be required to register on the portal and provide the information requested for.
PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
The following options are available:
  1. E-transact option:
    This option is available in all commercial banks nationwide. At the bank your are required to pay and obtain an E-transact PIN. With the PIN log into the portal http://www.myunical.edu.ng and click on the UTME Admission Screening link then follow the instructions on the portal after login.
  2. Scratch Card Option:
    This option is available in the following banks within Calabar Metropolis ONLY:
    a.    Unical Microfinance Bank
    b.    WEMA Bank
    c.    First city Monument Bank
    d.    Heritage Bank
On obtaining the scratch card proceed as follows:
  • LOG ON TO http://www.myunical.edu.ng and click on the UTME Admission Screening link
  • On the home page, enter your correct JAMB Registration Number in the box provided
  • Enter the scratch card pin in the box provided
  • Click on login and follow the online instructions.
  • Confirm your entries and CLICK ON SUBMIT
  • Print out the completed form.
THE FOLLOWING CHARGES SHALL APPLY:
  1. (I) Aptitude Test = ₦2,000.
OPENING OF PORTAL/REGISTRATION
Registration will start from Monday, June 17, 2019, when the portal will be open. Please note that the portal will however be shut down at 12.00 mid night on Wednesday, July 17th, 2019.
NOTE:
  • (i)    Candidates are required to come with their original UTME result slip showing the Candidate’s photograph
  • (ii)    The Post UTME exercise is Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • (iii)    Special candidate with any form of disability should please indicate during registration.
IT MUST BE FURTHER NOTED THAT:
  • a.   Impersonation is a serious offence and anyone caught will be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agents and may be liable to up to 5 years imprisonment
  • b.   Any candidate who fails to take part in the screening exercise automatically loses his or her chance of being considered for admission.
  • c.    Early commencement of registration is advised to avoid congestion in the dying hours.
  • d.    Candidates are advised to check the Portal from Thursday, July 04, 2019 for their venue and time of the CBT. Candidates are strictly advised to ensure that their correct phone numbers are provided while filling the form online as the University will communicate with them directly.

Registration for 2019 WAEC GCE (2nd Series) Has Commenced

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), began the conduct of two series of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates in 2019. Intending candidates for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for  are hereby informed that the Private Candidates, 2019 - Second Series registration will be online.
After obtaining the Registration PIN. candidates should log on to www.waeconline.org.ng for registration. Candidates should also note that the registration procedure has been designed to accommodate biometric features that will be used for validation at the examination centres. 

The WASSCE for Private Candidates 2019 - Second Series would be an Urban Based Examination. Thirty Six {36} Subjects will be available for the Examination. Intending candidates for the examination are, therefore, strongly advised to visit the link –http://www.waecnigeria.org to confirm available examination towns and subjects before obtaining the registration PIN.
APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION
Intending candidates for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2019 - Second Series are hereby informed that the registration will be online.

 REGISTRATION PERIOD
The normal registration period will commence on Monday 27th May to Friday July 19th, 2019. After obtaining the registration PIN, candidates should log on to for registration. Candidates should also note that the registration procedure has been designed to accommodate biometric features that will be used for validation at the examination centres.
 REGISTRATION
Candidates must conclude registration within two weeks of first access to the website during the registration period. They should ensure that their names, gender, passport photographs, dates of birth and subjects are correct. They are also to print the admission notice/photo card as evidence of successful registration.
This will serve as their photo card during the examination. The result checker PIN will also be on the photo card.
Only Digital Personal Scanner should be used for fingerprint registration.
 CANDIDATES WITH DISABILITIES AND IMPAIRMENT
Candidates with disabilities /impairment will also register online like other candidates but they must clearly state their disabilities /impairment e.g blind, low vision, spastic, speech, etc.
 
 GENERAL INFORMATION
(1) Candidates should view the Information VCD before they register for the examination.
(2) Candidates should note that examination fees are not refundable.
(3) Candidates should print the examination Timetable at the completion of their registration.
(4) Entries must be uploaded with good quality passport size photographs, not “wait and get” photographs.
The background of such photographs MUST NOT BE BLUE OR RED. The size should be 275 by 314 pixels. Entries with unacceptable passport photographs will be rejected.
(5) Candidates should study the Regulations and Syllabuses as well as the Timetable for the examination, Sample Scheme and Questions which they can download from WAEC's website ( ) using their registration PIN.
(6) All candidates must go to their examination halls in mufti and without arms. No professional uniform of any kind will be allowed in the examination hall.
(7) The entire results of candidates who sit for the examination in more than one centre will be cancelled.
(8) Smoking is not allowed in the examination hall.
(9) Any candidate that comes into the examination hall with mobile phone and /or electronic or communication gadgets will have his or her entire results cancelled.
(10) All candidates must ensure that their entries are correctly uploaded, as the Council will not be held responsible for errors in candidates' particulars. No request for correction will be entertained on any information which a candidate voluntarily gives at the point of registration as soon as the examination commences.
(11) Candidates must come into the examination hall with their original photo cards.
(12) Candidates who engage in examination malpractice will not only have their results cancelled but may be prosecuted.

Jamb Mock Exam date Changed and Jamb exam date has also been announced



The Joint Admissions and Matriculation has fixed Monday, 1st April, 2019 for its 2019 mock examination earlier scheduled for Saturday, 23rd March,2019. This change is due to certain circumstances beyond the Board's control.
Candidates who had indicated interest in the mock examination at the point of registration and have since printed their mock examination notification slips need not print another one.  All the details on the slips remain the same except the examination date which is now 1st April, 2019.

The Board has also scheduled to conduct  the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation examination (UTME)  from Thursday, 11th April, 2019. Candidates are to begin the printing of the 2019 UTME notification slips from Tuesday,2nd April,2019.
All candidates who registered for the 2019 UTME are to ensure that they print  their examination notification slips  before the day of the examination as no excuses would be entertained.The public should  note that the Board would not reschedule examination for any candidate.
Candidates can print their slips anywhere.
Nigerians would recall that the Board had closed the sale of its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry application document on Thursday,21st February,2019. At the close of the sale and subsequently close of registration portal, it was discovered that 41,063 candidates created profile and procured either  UTME or DE ePINS but were unable to complete their registration formalities after initiating the process. In view of this consideration the Board has open the registration portal effective from Wednesday 13th March, 2019 for all candidates with either UTME or DE ePINS to complete their registration formalities. The portal  would be closed on Friday, 15th March,2019 by 12midnight.
This opportunity is for only candidates who had created profile and  procured UTME or DE ePINS before the close of registration portal as the sale of ePINS had since been closed.
Please endeavour to register before Friday midnight if you are holding any of the ePINS (UTME/DE).

WAEC GCE Results For 2019 1st Series Released - See Performance Statistics


The West African Examinations Council, has announced the release of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for private candidates, 2019 – First Series This was announced by the Head of the Nigeria National Office Olu Adenipekun during a public briefing on Tuesday at the WAEC National Office in Yaba, Lagos.
It was gathered that 12,202 candidates registered for the examination out of which 11,892 candidates sat for the examination. Of the number of candidates that sat for the examination, 6,180 were male and 5,712 were female, representing 52 and 48 per cent respectively.

Interm of performance, a total of 3,102 candidates, representing 26.08 per cent, obtained credit and above in a minimum of five subjects including English Language and General Mathematics. The percentage of candidates in this category in the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2018 – First Series was 17.5 per cent.
A further break down shows that, a total of 8,782 candidates, representing 75.15 per cent, obtained credit and above in two subjects; 7,332 candidates, representing 62.74 per cent, obtained credit and above in three subjects; 5,850 candidates, representing 50.06 per cent, obtained credit and above in four subjects; and 4,314 candidates, representing 36.28 per cent, obtained credit and above in five subjects.
About 376 candidates, representing 3.16 per cent of the total candidature for the examination, have their results withheld in connection with various reported cases of examination malpractice. The cases are being investigated and reports of the investigations will be presented to the appropriate committee of the council in due course for consideration. The committee’s decisions will be communicated to the affected candidates.

Date For Reprinting of 2019 JAMB Exam Slip Has Not Been Confirmed - JAMB

The spokesman of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Dr Fabian Benjamin has stated that due to the fact that the date for the 2019 UTME has not been officially confirmed, the reprinting of the 2019 exam slip will not possibly commence on March 2nd, 2019 as earlier envisaged.
He said as it is now, no date has been fixed for the main examination and there is no way anybody can print examination notification slip when the examination date, itself, has not been fixed.

He added that when the actual date for the 2019 UTME has been finally determined, the reprinting of the exam slip will commence two weeks to that date.
Dr fabian finally assured candidates and stakeholders that JAMB will soon make an official announcement on the date for the main exam and the reprinting of exam slip.

JAMB Fixes 2019 Mock Exam March 23rd


The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Saturday March 23rd, 2019 as the new date for the conduct of the 2019 UTME mock exam. The board has also directed all eligible candidates for the mock exam to commence the printing of their mock examination notification slips as from Wednesday March 6th, 2019 in order to know their venue and time for the mock exam.The actual date for the main exam is yet to be announced by the board but a source hinted that the exam has been shifted to April 16th, 2019. However, this is yet to be officially confirmed by JAMB.
In a statement by the JAMB spokesman Fabian Benjamin, 2019 UTME Candidates have been urged to guard all their details pertaining to the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME/DE) Direct Entry.
He reminded the candidates that the purpose of the mock exam is to ascertain the readiness of its system for the exam and help candidates especially those not to familiar with CBT to get themselves acquainted with it.
He debunked the rumour that that marks from the mock examination would be added to scores obtained in the main examination.

UTME 2019 Registration Deadline still Febuary 21st- JAMB


The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed prospective candidates for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to ensure they do register before February 21st as the board is not considering extending the deadline for the resgistration.

The board also stated that it is so far satisfied with its decision of banning cyber cafes and using only accredited CBT centres for the registration process.


This was disclosed by the Chairman of Governing Board of JAMB, Emmanuel Aguzie, on Friday shortly after touring some CBT centres in Lagos.

He described the registration so far as hitch-free, seamless and fraud-free as confirmed by both the CBT operators and candidates at the centres visited. According to him, he does not foresee the registration deadline extended.

The 2019 JAMB UTME registration is expected to close on February 21 while the exam will commence March 16, 2019.



NECO GCE Nov/Dec Result For 2019 is out !

The results of the National Examinations Council (NECO) November /December Senior School Certificate Examination commonly known as NECO GCE has been released. This was announced today by the Acting Registrar of NECO, Abubakar Gana in a statement made available to newsmen.

The result statistics shows that about, 37,069 candidates, representing 62.48% of the 59,963 candidates who sat for the examination got five credits and above in both English Language and Mathematics. 44,497 candidates got either distinction or credit in English Language while 47,151 candidates got either distinction or credit in Mathematics.


It was also gathered that about 47,031 candidates got five credits and above, irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.

12,084 candidates were said to have been involved in cases of examination malpractice. 1,759 candidates had their result in English Language cancelled while 1,967 had their result in Mathematics cancelled. 1,144 candidates also has their results in Biology cancelled.

The council revealed that checker cards will no longer be used to check results. To check result now, candidates are to log on to www.neco.gov.ngand click on NECO Results. and follow the prompt thereafter to purchase a token and access their results.

Finally, Asuu suspends over 90days old strike

The Academic Staff Union Of Universities, ASUU, has suspended the 3 months old strike, after the meeting with the Federal Government on 7th Feb, 2019. This information was disclosed on the official twitter handle of the union. According to ASUU, academic activities will resume immediately as from tomorrow, 8th Feb, 2019
It was gathered that the union decided to suspend the 95 Days of Strike after reaching an agreement with the Federal Government. However, ASUU has warned that this is just a suspension of the strike and not an outright call-off.

According to ASUU, if government goes contrary to the memorandum of agreement, the union will not hesitate to embark on another industrial action with full force.
