The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has increased the
admission quota of University of Ilorin from 7,800 to 9,000.
This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Abdul Ganiyu Ambali during an interactive session with newsmen
According to him, following this development, the institution is
currently putting effort towards equipping its laboratories and has also
collaborated with investors to build additional 5,000-bed-space hostel
in the institution to ensure the institution meets the accommodation
demands of its students.
While commenting on the issue of JAMB allowing UTME results to be valid
for more than a year, prof Ambali said he is not in support of the idea.
According to him, candidates re-writing examinations annually would
give them the opportunity to do better than they had done in previous
ones.
