UI Post-UTME 2017: Cut-off Mark, Screening And Registration Details

This is to inform candidates who made the University of Ibadan their institution of first choice and scored 200 and above in the 2017 UTME that the University website will be open on Monday, 04 September, 2017 to Friday, 23 September, 2017 for the submission of their bio-data and SSCE/NECO results online through https://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng

The deadline for submission of bio-data / O/level results may not be extended. Therefore, any candidate whose bio-data are not submitted within the stipulated time will not be considered for Post-UTME Screening and for admission.

1. PAYMENT INSTRUCTION

(a) Candidates are required to log-in to the Admission Portal (https://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng) using their Jamb Registration Number as their user name and their surname as their password e.g. 65345521EG OYEKANMI (Surname) Afolabi Mary. The screening fee has been pegged at N2,000.00, while N700.00 will be paid for the Internet Service Provider and bank charges. The total sum of N2,700.00 should be paid through the ADMISSION PORTAL in favour of University of Ibadan (Admission Processing Fee Account). Candidate’s Name, JAMB Registration Number, Telephone Number and E-mail Address should be quoted at the point of payment.

Payment Options:

Credit/Debit Card Payment using ATM card;

Cash at bank using the print out from the portal to make payment at the bank; and

Direct bank account debit whereby you use your internet banking tools to make payment.

Candidates are expected to print the payment success receipt which should display full names of the candidate (SURNAME first) as in the UTME result slip preceded by the JAMB Registration Number, as the payee and the payment reference number showing the success message.

(b) Upon successful payment, candidates should proceed on the portal to submit their bio-data and O/level results.

(c) Candidates should ensure that the online forms are carefully filled, following ALL necessary instructions, as “mistake(s)” may lead to disqualification.

(d) Please fill the online forms in CAPITAL letters only.

(e) Candidates are expected to upload their passport photographs and signatures. The image format for the passport and signature is JPEG and must not exceed 50kb. The photographs must be clean and clear, without glasses and cap/head-tie or cover.

(f) Candidates are then to print out evidence of completion of transaction and keep for further reference.

(g) An online help desk platform on http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng/helpdesk will be available to handle all genuine enquiries.

2. DATE OF POST UTME

The date for the post UTME will be communicated to candidates through their email addresses and sms. Candidates are, therefore, advised to provide valid and active email addresses and phone numbers. The University will not take responsibility for failure to get information as a result of invalid email addresses and functional phone numbers.

Misrepresentation/falsification of documents is a serious offence. Candidates are, therefore, advised to submit genuine documents only. Anyone found guilty of this offence will be disqualified automatically and in appropriate cases, be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agencies.

Candidates are strongly advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines stipulated above for successful completion of the online submissions.

This followed the directive gave by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board at its last policy meeting.

This is to inform all UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates who have applied for admission into the Federal University of Technology, Minna for the 2017/2018 academic session arae hreby informed that the University has scheduled the University Pre-Admission Screening Exercise (UPASE) to hold at the University Main Campus, Gidan  Kwano, Minna, as follows:

(iii)       Candidates MUST meet the minimum UTME scores for their chosen courses, have the right UTME subject combinations as prescribed in the JAMB Brochure and the requisite ‘O’ Level subjects at credit level.

(iv)       However, candidates who do not meet any of the above requirements will be allowed to change to any other course whose requirements are met by the candidates.  The change of course will attract a processing fee of N1,000 only payable at the screening venue.

(v)        All candidates must possess a minimum of five ‘O’ Level credits including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings in subjects relevant to their proposed courses.

(vi)       Only ‘O’ Level result print-out(s) downloaded directly from the website(s) of the national examining bodies (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) or photocopies of the original certificate(s) will be accepted for verification.  Candidates that already have their ‘O’ Level results MUST bring the results to the screening venue.  Failure to do so will result in disqualification of candidates.

(vii)      Candidates awaiting results will be allowed to participate in the UPASE but MUST submit such results not later than Friday 30th September, 2017.  For submission of such results, candidates are to go back to their registration page on the University website to update their records or submit hard copies of the results to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at the Main Campus, Gidan Kwano.

(viii)     Candidates that choose to submit their results online should print the acknowledgement slips after uploading.

NOTE:  Any false declaration could lead to a candidate’s disqualification at any stage of the admission process.

Click on “2017/2018 UPASE”
On the page that appears, click on ‘UPASE-UTME Login’
  • Enter your JAMB registration number.

  • Enter one of your names.

  • Click on ‘Login’.

  • On a page that appears, you are required to upload your recent coloured passport photograph in JPG format (Width 150 px, Height 170 px).

  • Choose another course from the list of departments if your UTME/’O’ level subject combinations do not meet the minimum requirements for the course registered with JAMB. 


NOTE:           The system automatically detects if you have the required UTME subject combination and the minimum score for the programme selected.

  • Status of ‘O’ Level results (click on the appropriate box).

  • Click on ‘Proceed to payment gateway’.

  • Confirm your entries.

  • Click on the payment link button to proceed to payment gateway.

  • Payment is done through Debit Card (MasterCard - Most preferred) or Verve (only the ones enabled for online payment) or Bank branch (by generating RRR from application portal).

  • Enter ATM Debit card details (Card number, expiry date, CVV 2 i.e the 3 digits behind your card, and pin number) 


NOTE:            This automatically debits N2,250.00 only (the N250 is service charge for the Interswitch platform).

  • If payment is successful, the screen will display all the data you previously entered.

  • Click on the ‘Print’ button to print the document

  • Keep the printout and take it to the UPASE venue

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE
All eligible candidates are required to come on the date indicated on their scheduling slips.

Candidates are to report at the Suleiman Kumo Convocation Square at the University Main Campus, Gidan-Kwano along Minna-Bida road with the following:

  • A printout of the 2017/2018 UTME result slip bearing the candidate’s passport photograph (the Passport should not be affixed).  The title of the course/programme of choice should be boldly written by the candidate on top of the result slip.

  • The printed 2017/2018 University Pre-Admission Screening Exercise (UPASE) scheduling slip.

  • A writing material (Biro or Pencil).

  • A simple scientific calculator (non-programmable) without cover.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • No candidate will be allowed to participate in the screening exercise without complying with the above requirements.

  • The Main Campus at Gidan Kwano along Minna-Bida road is about 20 km away from the Bosso Campus of the University, which is inside Minna town.

  • Candidates without personal vehicles may board commercial buses at the rate of N80 to N100 at the Bosso Campus of the University.

  • Candidates are not allowed to bring GSM handsets or similar electronic gadgets into the screening hall.  Such item(s) will be seized and will not be returned to the owners.

  • Impersonation is a serious offence and anyone caught impersonating will be handed over to the law enforcement agents.

  • Any registered candidate who fails to report for the screening exercise on the date and time specified on the print-out automatically loses his or her chance of being screened for admission.

  • Candidates are advised to arrive at the Suleiman Kumo Convocation Square at the Main Campus, Gidan Kwano on the scheduled dates for the screening exercise at least one hour prior to the scheduled time on their slips.

EBSU Post-UTME/DE 2017: Cut-off Mark, Screening And Registration Details

This is to inform all Candidates who chose Ebonyi State University (EBSU), Abakaliki as their University of First Choice in the 2017 UTME and scored 160 and above as well as possess required O/L credits for University admissions, that the admission POST-UTME Application Form is available now. The portal for registration opens on Wednesday, 30th August and closes on Wednesday, 20th September, 2017. However, those who did not initially chose EBSU for admission are eligible to apply.

Direct Entry:

Screening exercise for Direct Entry (DE) candidates is scheduled to take place from Monday, 18th September, 2017 to Tuesday, 19th September, 2017 from 9.00am each day.

Note: The venue for the screening exercise will be available on submission of the candidates, online application form.

Please be informed that there will be no Direct Entry into Medicine and Law.

Note: All candidates (both UTME and Direct Entry) are to note that:
i. Screening guidelines N2,000.00(Two thousand naira) only, Technology fee: N2,000(Two thousand naira) only and bank charges, will be charged at the point of purchase of the forms online via ATM debit cards on Interswitch or eTranzact PIN (Payment Voucher).

Mode of Screening
The screening exercise would include the screening of qualifying results (if any) as well as Computer-Based Tests (CBT).

ASUU BoyCotts Meeting With FG






Report has it that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has boycotted a scheduled meeting with the Federal Government today 29th August, 2017.

This development was confirmed by the ASUU President, Biodun Ogunyemi, while speaking to newsmen.

According to him, ASUU has met, discussed the new offer from the FG and submitted a proposal to the government.

He said the union will only honour another meeting from the Federal Government after the the government must have responded to the proposal sent by the union.

AKSU Post-UTME 2017: Cut-off Mark, Screening And Registration Details

All Candidates who made Akwa Ibom State University their first choice and scored 160 and above in the last UTME and the general public are hereby notified that the Screening exercise for the 2017/2018 first choice admission into first degree programmes of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) will hold from 18th September, 2017 to 25th September, 2017 at the Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden - Mkpat Enin L.G.A from 9.00 a.m daily, as follows:

Tuesday (19/09/2017) Faculty of Engineering
Wednesday (20/09/2017) Faculty of Natural & Applied Sciences, Departments of Economics and Marketing.

REGISTRATION FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE
The University portal will be opened for registration from Wednesday, 30th August, 2017 and closed on Monday, 11th September, 2017. Candidates are required to register online for the screening exercise using the following procedure: Visit http://portals.aksu.edu.ng to generate Pre-Payment Analysis Slip, by following the steps below:
1. Click on REGISTER NOW LINK in the Login Page
2. Select PUTME in the Registration Type Panel and click on REGULAR icon.
3. Enter your JAMB registration number and click VERIFY.
4. On the right hand side of the page showing your details, select CLICK TO MAKE PAYMENT and print the pre- payment slip so generated.
5. Proceed to the Bank with the pre-analysis slip and inform the Bank teller that you wish to make payment for Akwa Ibom State University Post-UTME screening exercise using e-transact.
6. After payment, repeat steps 1 to 3 above. The payment status on the right side of the page should now show PAID. 7. Click the “>” symbol at the extreme right of the page to proceed with registration process.
8. Complete the form and ensure you clearly scan and upload the following document (with sizes not more than 50KB)
a. WAEC/NECO/ NABTEB Certificates/Result, as may be applicable.
b. Certificate of origin.
c. 2017 UTME result printout.
9. Print three (3) copies of Registration Slip from the portal. This will serve as your screening Photocard. It carries vital information such as the date and venue of your PUTME Screening.
(a) Candidates are to appear for PUTME screening exercise with the following:
(i) Three (3) copies of 2017 UTME result slip showing the candidates photograph in colour.
(ii) Three (3) copies of AKSU Photocard/PUTME screening schedule slip printed from the University portal, on completion of Registration.
(b) When filling the application form, each applicant should endeavour to use his/her own phone number and valid e-mail address in order to receive timely alerts, messages and directives. Do not use those of a cybercafe operator or any other third party.
(c) All uploaded documents must be clear and readable. Blurred or unclear documents will lead to automatic disqualification.
(d) Any candidate who fails to participate in the screening exercise will not be considered for admission into the University.
(e) Applicants who did NOT choose AKSU as the University of First Choice in the 2017/2018 UTME are NOT eligible for this exercise for now.

RSUST Post-UTME 2017: Cut-off Mark, Screening And Registration Details

All candidates who chose the Rivers State University during the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and have received notification to that effect from JAMB are hereby requested to take note of the following:-

The screening exercise for admission of candidates will be administered only on candidates who chose RSU and have received notification to that effect from JAMB.
ii Only candidates who scored 150 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are qualified for the screening exercise in all the Faculties of the University.

iii. Candidates must possess the basic five (5) O’ level credit passes in accordance with the University’s Entry Requirements (Faculty/Departmental) before applying for the screening exercise. It is mandatory that Candidates should upload their O ‘Level results and a scanned copy of their passport photograph. However, candidates who are awaiting their O’level results may apply but should so indicate.

Candidates are expected to register for the screening exercise On-line by logging onto rsu.edu.ng and making e-payment of Four Thousand and Five Hundred (N4, 500.00) Naira only, using Interswitch Verve enabled cards or using the Pay Direct Bank Branch option, comprising One Thousand (N1000.00) Naira Application fee, Two Thousand (N2, 000.00) Naira Test Fee and One Thousand and five Hundred (N1, 500.00) Naira for Computer Demonstration Exercise.
Candidates are to note that the mode of screening exercise is It is important that candidates practice how to use the computer especially the use of mouse and keyboard before they turn up for the screening exercise. In addition, the Information Technology Centre (ITC) may be conducting a 1-week demonstration session for candidates prior to the date of the screening exercise.

SCHEDULE FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE

The screening exercise will take place from Monday 11th September, 2017 to Friday 22nd September, 2017 at the Information Technology Centre (ITC) of the University. Candidates are requested to please note that the screening exercise is as scheduled in the screening exercise slip they printed out after their On-line registration. The scheduled date, time and venue shall be indicated in the test slip.

Consideration will not be given to candidates who fail to appear for the screening exercise on the scheduled date and time. All candidates for the screening exercise are required to come to the Venue with their test slip printed out during the On-line registration.

Candidates should note that GSM phones WILL NOT BE ALLOWED into the hall during the screening exercise.

Parents, Guardians and Well-wishers are advised to stay away from the venue of the screening exercise.

Candidates must report at the test venue one (1) hour before the scheduled time on their test slip.

Further details about the screening exercise can be obtained on-line at www.rsu.edu.ng.

It is important to note that the names of successful candidates for admission shall be published on the same site (www.rsu.edu.ng.).
